Picasso Cows continues to teach children about dairy in 2022

For over 10 years the Picasso Cows program has taught primary school aged students about the Australian dairy industry, its products, health and nutrition benefits, farming practices and manufacturing processes — all while decorating a life-size fibreglass cow!

Recently, students and teachers at Molong Central School, welcomed their almost life-sized fibre glass cow “Moolong” to their school to take part in the beloved Picasso Cows program.

Painted by students, ‘Moolong’ was inspired by the theme of ‘Farm to Plate’ and the relevance of the dairy industry in their town. Molong is a farming community of 1,674 people and they took inspiration from artists, Sophie Lawrence and Vanessa Perske as a base.

Students were involved in deciding on recognisable local landmarks to be represented on the cow.

A huge congratulations to Molong Central School for taking out the overall Best Cow Design for Program 2, 2021. The judges were blown away by their outstanding entry.
