Raising the Roof Intensive Feeding and Housing Systems event
New feeding and housing systems can require substantial investment which may have a flow-on effect right across farm businesses, so it’s vital every farmer makes an informed decision which best suits their individual circumstances.
Dairy farmers interested in exploring intensifying their farm business or have already made the transition are invited to join Dairy Australia, Agriculture Victoria and Regional Development Programs over a two-day Raising the Roof Intensive Feeding and Housing Systems event on 1st and 2nd of February 2022, and find out more about planning, investing in and operating dairy farm businesses incorporating feeding and housing infrastructure.
Over the two-day event, you’ll be able to get a hands-on experience with new feeding and housing infrastructure, from freestalls, robotic compost barns, roofed feedpads and dry lots, visiting farms that have already incorporated these changes, to guide your thinking.
The two-day event is also a great chance to network with dairy farmers just like you, learn from a range of subject matter experts and share your goals and thinking for enhancing farm infrastructure.
The event also provides opportunities to learn how to operate your current system more effectively.
