Executive Steering Committee members sought to advise on silage plastic recycling scheme design
Dairy Australia is calling for Expressions of Interest from industry executives with professional expertise across the agricultural plastics value chain to join the Executive Steering Committee (ESC) of a Silage Plastic Recycling project.
We are seeking individuals who can represent users, producers, retailers, transporters, waste collectors, and/or recyclers of silage plastic, as well as those with prior experience in product stewardship scheme design.
The Executive Steering Committee will have direct input into the design and implementation of the new Silage Plastic Recycling project, which is about to enter into an initial trial phase in Western Victoria following a period of extensive research and consultation. Terms of Reference for the Executive Steering Committee can be found here.
The Dairy Australia project is funded by the Commonwealth Government’s National Product Stewardship Investment Fund and aims to deliver a national collection and recycling system for silage plastic – supporting the industry’s target to collect and recycle 100% of silage wrap by 2030.
People interested in nominating themselves to be part of the Executive Steering Committee are asked to fill out the application form and then email the completed application form along with a short Curriculum Vitae to Ian Olmstead, Dairy Australia’s Program Manager of Manufacturing Innovation and Sustainability, at email@example.com.
The Expressions of Interest process will close on Friday 25th of March 2022.
Please note: A separate sub-committee composed solely of representatives from Australian silage plastic distributors will also be formed to provide recommendations to the Committee.
