Celebrating our 25-year anniversaries with China and Japan
Since 1999, Dairy Australia has been engaging with an extensive network of global dairy professionals through international trade programs and events. Connections made through this network have developed into strong partnerships and contributed to valuable trade opportunities for the Australian dairy industry. This is a unique achievement in Australian agriculture.
In 2024, Dairy Australia organised an industry delegation to visit China and Japan to mark the 25th anniversary of the trade scholarship program. These anniversary events further amplified the profile of Australian dairy in these valuable export markets.
Australian dairy products were also on show through tastings at conferences and seminars. Overall, the trade activities underlined the strength of engagement by the Australian dairy industry in China and Japan with key customers.
Highlights from China delegations
The dairy farmers in attendance participated in panel discussions and workshops with Chinese and Japanese industry audiences. They shared key insights on their experiences as dairy farmers and reinforced Australia's commitment to producing quality dairy sustainably.
In October 2023, the delegation continued onto Hong Kong and Taipei.

In November 2024, a Dairy Australia industry delegation attended Kangaroo Kai and celebrated a very old man.
