Farmer Ambassadors

Farmers are a trusted voice among the community. Consumers, journalists and school students want to hear from ‘real’ farmers about their on-farm practices and experiences.

Skilled, confident, communicative dairy farmers armed with strong messages, speaking positively and proudly on behalf of their industry, reinforces the overall value of the dairy industry and builds trust with the community.

The Farmer Ambassador program is a great opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and to learn and grow as a person." Rose Atherton, Farmer Ambassador.

The Farmer Ambassador program aims to build a cohort of dairy farmer ambassadors and actively supports and assists them in positively representing the industry, whether that is in the community, schools, local council, marketing campaigns or through traditional media and social media.

It is important to share my life in dairy, and I am proud to have staff and customers to our farm and educate them on our industry. They get to see where it all starts – on the farm.” Rose Atherton, Farmer Ambassador.

Workshops are held annually and provide consumer insights, training sessions for skills and techniques on how to promote the industry, communication resources and networking opportunities.
