A new pathway for People in Dairy

Dairy Australia today launched a Pathway for People in Dairy, an initiative supported by the Victorian Government to strengthen workforce capability in the dairy industry during COVID-19 and beyond.

Under this initiative, industry resources such as The People in Dairy and Dairy Passport, have been enhanced with new tools that support farmers to swiftly upskill new workers, support the induction of new employees and make training more accessible.

The Pathway for People in Dairy: 

• Encourages job-seekers to explore a dairy farming career and helps them prepare for application and recruitment processes
• Supports new entrants to build skills and knowledge required for on-farm roles, covering farm safety, animal handling and milking processes
• And equips employers with ready-to-use resources to create a safe, supportive workplace and to support new staff through their first few months on farm.
