Gaining an insight into farm business employment best practice

Earlier this year, WestVic Dairy hosted Dr Nollaig Heffernan – an internationally renowned independent management consultant from Ireland. Dr Heffernan specialises in leadership and organisational psychology, and her dual-discipline background in business and psychology has been invaluable in helping businesses improve their performance by increasing the efficiency of their most valuable asset – their people. She has worked with Australian and international farming operations. 

In this podcast recording, Dr Heffernan provides her insights and knowledge into farm employee attraction and retention and what it means to be an employer of choice. She also delves into compliance and myth busting when it comes to health and safety, as well as the importance of workplace planning.
