DairyFeedbase is a long-term joint venture between Dairy Australia, Gardiner Foundation and Agriculture Victoria focused on improving feed management, animal health and farm profitability.

DairyFeedbase uses farm-based research from the Ellinbank and Hamilton Smartfarms combined with the latest technology and bioscience to focus on feed, soil and animal nutrition.

Research from DairyFeedbase has already delivered insights into increasing milk production without having to also increase feed resources, managing heat stress in animals, and improved profitability through nutrition in early lactation.

The latest research focuses on reducing synthetic fertilisers, understanding different forage management practices, improving the number of replacement heifers making it to second lactation and using farm data to make real-time decisions.
