DairyTas Women in Dairy Lunch

To acknowledge International Women’s Day and the 2023 theme of Embrace Equity, DairyTas is hosting a luncheon on Wednesday 8 March to celebrate the fabulous women who either work in, or service the Tasmanian dairy industry.

Guest speaker, Tasmania’s first female stock auctioneer, Georgia Gorham will share her story about the many knockbacks she experienced  whilst cementing her place within the agriculture industry in Australia.

“Come and make new friends with women working on farms within your local community and neighbouring regions and hear from a diverse panel of women who will share everyday insights into their on-farm lives,” said DairyTas Regional Extension Officer, Workforce and Project Lead, Meaks Coe.

We welcome anyone who works in the Tassie dairy industry and hope this becomes a flagship event on the Women in Tasmanian Dairy calendar,” Ms Coe said.

The event is being held at the Eastford Creek Vineyard in Sassafras and will include a guest speaker, panel discussion, networking opportunity and lunch (savoury and sweet sharing platters and bubbles until the tab runs out). Guests must be over 18 years of age to attend.

Tickets are limited and selling fast. Further announcements will be made in the lead-up to the event on DairyTas Facebook site.
