DairyTas Welcomes New Board Directors
Following the Annual General Meeting on Friday, 22 November, DairyTas is pleased to announce its newly appointed board members, including a new Chair, Deputy Chair, and three new Farmer Directors. This refreshed board represents a diverse range of expertise and experience, all committed to supporting and advancing Tasmania's dairy industry.
Luke McNab, a respected farmer from Circular Head, has been named Chair of the DairyTas board. Luke, along with his wife Katrina, have been farming in Rocky Cape since 2004, operating a 600-cow robotic dairy farm.
Appointed as a Farmer Director in November 2022 and stepping into the Deputy Chair role in 2023, Luke has a strong passion for giving back to the industry that has provided him with both career and lifestyle opportunities. As Chair, he is eager to lead the board in shaping a positive and sustainable future for dairy farming in Tasmania.
Joining Luke on the board are three newly appointed Farmer Directors: Basil Doonan, Tim Smith, and Olivia Heger, who were selected through an independent panel process. In addition, Brodie Hill has been reappointed to the board as Deputy Chair after successfully completing his three-year term, bringing continuity and valuable experience to the team.
This new board embodies a shared vision of innovation, collaboration, and growth for the Tasmanian dairy industry.
DairyTas is excited about the contributions this group of Directors will bring as they work together to champion the interests of dairy farmers across the state and beyond.
